The basic goal of the paper is to present the assessment of landscapeecological and ecosozological significance of territory and assessment of load area by stress factors for the needs of creation of documentation territorial system of ecological stability. The contribution presents a methodology and its application on the study area. For the model area was chosen district Banská Štiavnica. Banská Štiavnica district consists of 15 rural settlements and one urban settlement. Banská Štiavnica which is also the counties centre. The total area of the district is 292.3 km ² and has lived here 16 794 inhabitants. The whole territory of the district falls within the Protected Landscape Area Štiavnické hills.
