In this paper we interpret results of an observation considering the relationship between vegetation of land mantle-rocks and intensity of geomorphic processes in the territory of seven permanent plots in the Belianske Tatry Mts (2003- 2013). Those represent in principle “battle fields” for proceeding geomorphic processes and vegetation. They are either gradually occupied by initial stages of vegetation or were eventually occupied in the past and it is (was) more or less destructive. The geomorphic processes in this area seem to be crucial and often limiting elements of vegetation development. The terrain research was combined with the gathering of data as standard phytocoenological records. Moreover, we drew the spatial repatriation of particular bunches or individuals in detail on each field. In this manner, we observed the share of species and their spatial arrangement regarding the other part of the field that is represented by the uncovered mantle-rock substrate. The terrain research was also related with gathering of data considering the vegetation environment. We paid the special attention to measuring of the intensity of geomorphic processes. They are realized by various methods three times annually. For quantitative evaluation of the acquired of phytocoenological and environmental data we used the program CANOCO. In the consideration of the results, we evaluated the geomorphic processes affecting the extreme high-mountain environment as the most crucial elements that determine also spatial repatriation of vegetation, its particular species or total character of their fragmentation. Georelief and mainly its spatial geomorphic attributes are therefore relevant phenomena of landscape that enable scientists to understand, for example the scale and hierarchy of vegetation arrangement. It is necessary to emphasize that the relationship of vegetation and the intensity of geomorphic processes can be regarded and generalized only on the basis of long-termed research.
