Contribution deals in monitoring of changes of humus in process of humification on the xerothermic biotop in Kremnické vrchy Mountains in the soil type of leptosols. Efficiency of humification not to reduce only climate changes during winter season from autumn of 2011 (November) to spring of 2012 (April), when we observed content of humus in both identified soil horizon of leptosols. Increment of content of humus in A-horizon was about 58,52 % (27300 mg.kg-1 ) and C-horizon only about 1,55 % (600 mg.kg-1 ) more. Increment of the year of content of humus from autumn of 2011 to autumn of 2012 in A-horizon of leptosols was 75,92 % (35000 mg.kg-1 ) and reverse trend was observed in C-horizon, where the content of humus was decreased by 8,76 % (2800 mg.kg-1 ). Monitored xerothermic biotop on andesite of Kremnické vrchy Mountains in Západné Karpaty (Western Carpathians), which are the component of Ihráčské kamenné mesto (Ihráč stone town) (village Ihráč) in district Žiar nad Hronom represent the important attribute in process of humification. The process of humification in the surface part of soil layer of leptosols ensure the necessary number of organic substances, which are important for growth and nutrition of vegetation, and so it is very important to periodic monitoring of changes of humus content not only on the agricultural used soils, but also on the soils of xerothermic biotop.
