Water pools located in roots, leaves or internodes maintain the turgidity of leaves even in the noon hours of water stress. Genotypical differences can be observed on the level of plant populations which correspond to the ecological strategies of the species. The impact of fertilizers is distinct in competitors particularly: increasing level of fertilizing leads to increasing biomass and enlarged water output of the whole stand.
