The work evaluates the influence of experimental doses of salts on ecological response of Tilia cordata Mill. at the age of 5 years. In the experiment NaCl in doses of 0.1-0.7 kg cntdot m-2 and Tonakal (NaCl 90%, CaCl-2 8%, hexametaphosfate 1%, ZnSO-4 0.5%) in doses of 0.3-1.5 kg cntdot m-2 were used. The critical dose for a woody plant survival is 0.5-0.7 kg cntdot m-2 of NaCl and over 1.5 kg cntdot m-2 of Tonakal. Changes in the phenological rhythm of the woody plants were caused by doses of 0.3 kg cntdot m-2 of NaCl and/or 0.5 kg cntdot m-2 of Tonakal. It was reflected in the shorter vegetational period and leaf necrosis. Low doses of salts (0.15 kg cntdot m-2 NaCl and/or to 1.2 kg cntdot m-2 of Tonaka) proved a stimulating influence of plants, height increment, concentrations over the given limits showed inhibitive influence. With the increasing doses of salts the content of Na and Cl in leaves increased and the content of Ca, Mg, and K decreased at the same time. Cumulation of Na, Cl, Ca, and K in the soil increased and soil reaction reached 7.16-8.92 pH. More toxical influence of NaCl on woody plants than that of Tonakal was found, the latter producing positive effect of the Ca contained. Woody plants were more damaged on sandy loam than loamy soils regarding the higher mobility of salts in sand.
