For the evaluation of water biotopes has been used an index of the landscape-ecological significance (LES) modificated in consideration of amphibians occurrence and the total index of the significance (TIS) (Kminiak, 1993). According to calculated values LES, which have fluctuated in the range 0.16 - 2.64, biotopes has been divided into 4 significance groups. The highest value LES has been reached by the biotope - Malanta pond in the landscape environment and water surface in Lukov dvor in the scope of town. The lowest value has been reached by the biotope-excavation pit - Diely in the scope of town. Values of the gross index of the significance have reached values from 4 - 29 and biotopes have been divided into 5 categories. The highest value TIS has been reached by the Malanta biotope (k.u.- Lukov dvor), the lowest by Klokocina, Chrenova.
